Install from FTP server

Hello all,

I tried to install several security patches yesterday through the FTP server. I dragged the files from my zip-file to the public_html folder of my website. The files in the zip were in the same order as the public_html and afterwards, I also flushed the caches in my admin. However, when I do a security scan now it still says the patches are not installed. Any suggestions to what I am doing wrong?

 Did the FTP program ask you if you wanted to replace the files you where copying?  That's usually a good sign the files are being updated/replaced.

Hi!

Yes it did. There are by the way a bunch of different options you can choose when it asks to 'replace' (replace only when the file is new etc.) but I have always chosen the most plain one which simply replaces the file. Maybe I should/could choose another?
