error installing Patch SUPEE-6788_CE

Hi all,

I'm trying to install the SUPEE-6788_CE patch but I get the following error. Can anyone help out? System is Debian 7.x plus Magento 1.9.2.0

You have a customized .htaccess file which most sites do.

 

Save a copy of the .htaccess file somewhere safe.

 

Download the Magento 1.9.2.0 installer archive, extract .htaccess and upload it to your website

 

Apply patch SUPEE-6788

 

Merge the changes made to this .htaccess file with your saved customized .htaccess file and upload it to your website.

Thanks for the reply. I've downloaded the original install but can't seem to locate the .htaccess file in the .zip 

 

Do you remember the exact path?

 Grab the larger installer that has all the files.  In the root you should see a .htaccess file you can upload.  You may need to replace the sample htaccess as well.
