404 Error and Subdomain

Hi

I am new to magento and coding . I am getting a 404 error when I using my domain name to pull up my website. It also shows my subdomain/magento . I would like to fix it to my main domain and pull the site up I have been working on . any help would be appreciated .

I've split your response from the other topic into it's own topic as the other topic you responded to is very old now. 

Did you originally install Magento within your subdomain and now wants to move it to your main domain? 

Make sure you have updated your Base URLs to change them to your main domain in your MySQL database under the core_config_data table and after that clear all caches.
