Trying to backup the site but keep getting

Hi @ABSenterprise,

I don't recommend using the Magento admin panel to create backups, specially since it could bring down the Magento instance since it's a heavy task for the server.

I recommend you to compress the codebase, and then create a database dump using mysqldump.
