Can not disable reviews and ratings

Hi All,

We are currently on CE v1.9.1.

I wanted to hide the reviews and ratings functionality from our site.

I followed the following steps:

1. System > Configuration > Advanced > Mag_Rating - saved as Disabled.

2. System > Configuration > Advanced > Mag_Reviews - saved as Disabled.

3. Refreshed all Cache.

However, when I go to our home slider, categories or product view pages, the reviews and ratings are still visible on frontend.

Is there something wrong or that I am not doing correctly?

I also confirmed with our theme developer that this issue is not related to the theme.

Please do clear cache and reindex it all and clear browser cache and check...

P.S - Please do make sure Cache is disabled And compilation mode is off before performaning such action.

I performed the following steps:

1. Disable Compilation

2. Disable Cache

3. Disable Ratings and Reviews in the Advanced Configuration area

4. Performed a full reindexing

5. Cleared the Cache

6. Refreshed browser Cache

7. Tested the home page and product page.

Reviews and ratings still was displayed.

I then performed the following:

1. Enabled Compilation

2. Enabled Cache

3. Performed full reindexing

4. Refreshed the Cache

5. Refreshed the Browser Cache

6. Tested the home page and products page

Reviews and ratings still was displayed.
