Category is empty while products appear to have appropriate view settings and after successful index

Details:

 

  • Category containing 8 products
  • Each Product Setting:
    • Enabled: True
    • Visible in category & search: Yes
  • Solr search @ supported version & appropriate settings. Have never had trouble with it in the past.
  • /var/logs and ./var/logs are not empty, but nothing refers to indexing
  • Removed reindex_full.lock - magerun has a habit of creating this file and leaving it in place despite successful indexation.
  • Re-indexing with: 
    magerun index:reindex:all && magerun cache:flush
