Is there a way to create a report from a specific transactional email and see how many times it has been sent out? For example, a transactional email has been created so that when a user falls into a particular customer group they are sent a trigger email and we have received a number of reports that they have not received said email.
I understand this report can be found quite easily using third party email marketing tools however the one we are using could not send a trigger email in the time frame required hence the use of transactional emails via Magento. Our developers have said that it is not possible to track any transactional emails to create a report but I'm asking here to see if there was a solution which would be greatly appreciated.
@NialMag Which transaction email you want to track ? I mean exiting Magento Or your custom transaction email ?
I believe it's a custom transactional email so it isn't one of the default email for a sales purpose. The transactional email contains a discount code and is sent once a user updates a particular field of their account information. e.g. updates an input field with a loyalty card number and then the email is sent out to them. I hope this helps.
I think perhaps the easiest way is to get this information from your SMTP server logs. However it obviously requires you to have access to those files and necessary know-how.
