Unable to browse Admin Panel

Hi,

I'm new to magento. I'm unable to access the admin panel of our website build on magento version 1.6.2. I believe the URL for admin panel is : www.example.com/admin. While browsing this, it redirects the request back to www.example.com.

I have been trying to fix this since last week.

Any insights on this would be really appreciated.

It’s hard to make any conclusions without having access.

We’d recommend checking how requests are made, and whether you’ve got redirects there or not. If you’ve got redirects, there are high chances that server configuration was changed.
