Uploaded photos in media folder in descending order showing the most recent uploads at the top

The files are stored, by default, by name.
Do you want a different default sort criteria for those files? Are we talking about the WYSIWYG media library?
When we upload any new photo in any static block then it goes in last in the library by default. But in my case latest images are shown in top.
