Re: updated to 1.9.3.9 admin login errors

thanks for the reply im on to the people that built the website as it appears i dont have access to restart PHP my end ive tired through putty and get errors with the passwords they have provided me Smiley Sad

Re: updated to 1.9.3.9 admin login errors

Hi @duncan_goodship

ok i understand your concern !

still try to clear cache from magento backend and then check if its works for you or not !

or else you must required command line access to restart the PHP or server , so it will works !

Re: updated to 1.9.3.9 admin login errors

I've cleaned out all cache files backend via ftp , i have details for server but get access denied on passwords when trying to use putty to do things , there saying details are correct so not sure where to go now Smiley Sad

Re: updated to 1.9.3.9 admin login errors

Hi @duncan_goodship

I understand , But

If details are correct , then you must able to logged in into your server

Checked something issue with password or something you are missing while entering password - because if its worked on FTP then its also worked on putty.

Hope it helps

Re: updated to 1.9.3.9 admin login errors

I used this command # /etc/init.d/apache2 restart
it just come back blank does that mean it worked or should it show a process under the command screen?

Re: updated to 1.9.3.9 admin login errors

it failed to restart but allowed me to stop and start Apache2 , still not resolved the admin login issue Smiley Sad guessing stop and start does the same as a restart ?

thanks

Re: updated to 1.9.3.9 admin login errors

Please try to disable the compilation, generally, this issue occurs because of compilation.

As you don't have an access of admin so disable compilation using command line i.e

Run this from root Magento directory using SSH

$ php shell/compiler.php disable

If this don't work then try to disable from file:

includes/config.php

and comment out the two define function calls

##define('COMPILER_INCLUDE_PATH', dirname(__FILE__).DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR.'src');
#define('COMPILER_COLLECT_PATH', dirname(__FILE__).DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR.'stat');

Hope this helps.
