HELP! looking for answers on uploading a data file.

Does anyone know if there is a way to upload a file from the customers side of an eCommerce site?  I am looking to create an extension to our sit, to print barcode for customers but they would need to upload a database file for the orders they place. does anyone know if this is capable on a Magento basic site? please email me if you know.

Hi @ebarcode,



Do you mean that the customer should be able to upload a file from the product page, and then add that product to the cart to complete the order with the attachment?

Hello.

 

You can add custom option of 'File' type to your simple product and make it required. This way your clients will have to upload a file before adding product to cart. In your turn you will receive the file in the order.
