How to change layout in Magento?

Hi everyone

I bought a template on the internet and I follow all the instructions to set up my template in the backend. I can't see any different in the frontend?Why? I am trying to change my homepage but it is useless

If you bought template then template provider must had shared user guide for the template settings, if not then ask them for support. Cheers
