Translating Product Tax Classes

Hello, I'm running v1.5.  Does anyone know how to translate the Product Tax Classes?  I've tried enabling the Developer frontend inline translation but those options can't be configured.  Looked into the Manage Attributes section and found the Tax Class ID -> Manage Label / Options but the options itself were none, I added them exactly but it still doesn't take in the french translation.  Also, looked up the /app/locale/fr_FR/Mage_Tax.csv and tried adding them in there directly but it doesn't work as well.  What am I doing wrong?

Product tax classes are defined here: Sales > Tax > Product Tax Classes

Hey thanks for the pointer... but I have checked in here as well and can't find a way to translate or change the store view...

Just rename them. They are for internal use only anyway.

Thanks for replying.  Yes, renaming them would work but then that changes the English side of the site. I want it to retain both languages when you switch. You see those tax classes on the /index.php/catalogsearch/advanced page.  Any ideas?
