Website navigation structures

The company I work for is going to be upgrading to Magento 2. We are looking at Magento websites to see what kind of structure would work best when it comes to navigation, layout, SEO, etc. I'm trying to find a good way to categorize the websites and their structures based upon the design and the page source codes so we can give that information to our developers. I was wondering if anyone has any experience doing this or if there is even a way to do it? Fairly new at working with Magento so my terminology may be a little off. Thank you!

Re: Website navigation structures

Hello,

you may look not only at Magento sites but at eCommerce sites in general.

Before upgrading and changing anything I would recommend to analyze the existing structure of categories and other pages to find the strengths and weaknesses. On the basis of your analysis you can understand what works for you and what doesn't.
