I need to upgrade a magento store from 1.6 to 1.9.2. I had to change the server and theme too. So I got a new hosting with 1.9.2 installed on this. I installed the new theme. moved the media files. There are no extensions or much customization to be moved. I searched and found this https://wiki.magento.com/display/m1wiki/Manual+upgrade+using+a+fresh+install+and+new+database . Does magento migration tool http://devdocs.magento.com/guides/v2.0/migration/bk-migration-guide.html works only for 2.0 or it can work for 1.9.2 too. What do you suggest? I am a developer. I used to work for magento 3 years back.
