I'm having an issue with shopping carts and stock.
A lot of products that we stock are expensive and only have 1 quantity at a time. If a customer adds this product to their basket and then leaves the website the product will show as out of stock until the customer returns to the site and removes it from the basket.
We currently have over 6000 products so as you can tell this is becoming a nuisance. We have played around with Persistent Shopping Cart and nothing seems to change. Currently had this off now for weeks if not months and the problem still occurs - which gives me the impression it doesn't work correctly.
Is there a way to make the Default Stock of a product decrease after the customer has purchased it rather than when it's in their basket? This sounds so simple and would completely resolve this huge issue.
