Default to highest price first in Category pages

Hi

Is it possible to have the highest price as the first item on the category pages by default? 

I have set the Product Listing Sort by to Price but that puts the cheapest product first in the category pages. I would prefer people to see the highest price as the first product as these are the ones I would prefer customers to buy. I can't see any setting in Magento to change this.

Magento ver. 2.4.6-p1

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi @PaulK ?  In Magento 2.4.6-p1, to display products with the highest price first on category pages by default, you will need to implement custom coding. Magento doesn't offer a direct setting in the admin panel for this. You'll need to customize the product collection's sort order in your theme or a custom module to sort by price in descending order. If you're not comfortable with coding, consider hiring a developer or using a third-party extension that offers advanced sorting options.
