Home page not show content

Hi!

My steps:
1) Added a new home page
2) Selected it in the CMS Home Page
3) Added blocks via cms_page_view_selectable_home_base.xml

Issue:
1) Follow the link site.com/home - everything works
2) Follow the link site.com - there are no blocks from cms_page_view_selectable_home_base.xml

What could be the Issue? Can your help?

There is a configuration to set a default home page.

Stores > Configuration > General > Web > Default Pages > CMS Home Page

Also you need to remove slug for the home page CMS to just /
