How to add Filters to the UI component grid collection in Magento2?

Hello,

 

The customer grid in magento2 admin is created using the UI component. I want to add a filter to this customer collection so that some specific records are displayed in the the grid.

 

How to add filters to the customer collection in the admin Magento2 grid created using UI component.
