How to skip the invoice/ship steps

Hi,

 

I want to use Magento for a simple ordering process:

  • customers order items and pay using PayPal
  • at the end of the day/week etc. I want to print out a report showing customer name and quantity of each product ordered (with attributes such as shirt size, color etc).
  • no invoicing or delivery stuff is required.

 

The Ordered Products report is close to what I want (but it doesn't show the attributes). The problem is I have to manually click on each order and "invoice" or "ship" so the order appears in the Ordered Products report. This is a lot of work. Is it possible to skip this somehow i.e. I want to be able to see the "order" in a report without manually "following up" with the invoice/ship step. I don't care what sort of report it is, so long as it shows customer name and products ordered (with attributes).

 

Would changing to downloadable products avoid this manual step? (I have simple and configurable products)

 

I am currently using cash on delivery for testing (I haven't set up PayPal yet), with Community Edition 2.2

In default Magento, you won't be able to find the same option which will satisfy your requirement.

 

But I checked that there is one extension: https://ecommerce.aheadworks.com/magento-2-extensions/advanced-reports/

You can see many advanced report option here. And for your requirement, one option i.e. "Sales Detailed" report is there. Check the  back-end demo for same.
