We're transforming into the eCommerce world by developing a new e-store for our 55-year-old company. When we started the project, we decided to integrate Magento with our ERP system. However, we've discovered a lot of technical issues along the way when the connector syncs data between the 2 systems. Although these issues were solved (after paying a lot of money and time), we still have to pay for the connector, which is expensive (subscription model). We haven't launched the site yet, and we think of disconnecting the 2 systems and using Magento as a standalone system. Our top management supports this idea to avoid the high cost and the technical issues that may happen in the future. The operating departments are afraid of this step as it may lead to a lot of unknown and risky issues, especially when importing and exporting data manually between the two systems. We need your thoughts and suggestions if you have a similar experience, please.
