Magento Inventory Management: Multi Source mode Magento 2.3

I am wondering if anyone knows how shipping costs are calculated when using the new Advanced Inventory Control in 2.3.0? Does the system use the location of the different sources when calculating shipping costs for the customer on the front end, and does it use the core shipping management shipping methods to do this? 

So if I have two warehouses and a customer orders a product from both, does the system calculate the cost of UPS (shipping method) from both locations to fulfill the order?

The question is very much economic and it should be. The answer to it Jarnold is MSI works as you customize it as per your need and it will calculate exactly the same way as you want it to.
