Hi guys,
I want to launch Paypal payment on my store so I generated API username, password and signature on the side of PayPal account. Then I copied it to the Magento 2 admin (Store > Configuration > Sales > Payment Methods then chose Paypal Express Checkout).
API credentials were generated by NVP/SOAP Integration method after that I found out this article https://developer.paypal.com/docs/archive/nvp-soap-api/#express-checkout where is written: " Important: This integration method (NVP/SOAP) is deprecated as of January 1, 2017. For new integrations, see the https://developer.paypal.com/docs/checkout/
And from docs.magento.com:
PayPal has deprecated support for the sale of digital goods through PayPal Express Checkout, and recommends that you use either PayPal Payments Standard or any other PayPal payment gateway to process any order that includes virtual products.
I am confused. So I just activate "PayPal Payments Standard" instead of "PayPal Express Checkout" ? But the first method use NVP/SOAP Integration method as well.
What to do please?
