Product listing-->Filters option is not working for "Color" and other attribute

I am using magento api to filter configurable product on my app.

using below criteria :

http://127.0.0.1/local-setup/rest/V1/products/?searchCriteria[filterGroups][0][filters][0][field]=ca...

but unable to filter out the sub product of configurable product.
