Remove a Category from URL

Is there a way to remove a category from a URL? 
What is is now:

domain.com/category1/category2/ 

What I need it to be:

domain.com/category2/

@nickwhawkr4637  yes, it is possible. You can create Url Rewrites.
On the Admin sidebar, go to Marketing > SEO & Search > URL Rewrites.
Target Path: domain.com/category1/category2/ 

Request Path: domain.com/category2/

Ok, yes, I was aware of that but was unsure about the SEO implications of starting all of our links/parent categories in our menu with a redirect. Do you know if this will negatively impact rankings or how google crawls our site map if it is filled with redirects?
