wysiwyg editor help please

I work for a small company that has limited knowledge when it comes to CMS systems. We've been using the Magento 2's wysiwyg editor successfully for implementing product descriptions, images, graphics and videos however, we've noticed through a recent patch that the wysiwyg editor has been overly simplified.

Is there a work around for this to aid us in creating similar or better content without learning html?

Much appreciated!

Yes Magento has upgraded the editor and the current editor is pretty simple as they are making is more secure, light weight and robust. This might take sometime to get it to the same level as it was in the earlier versions.

You have 2 options here:

1. Assuming you are on Magento community version. Wait for Magento to release their page builder for community version. Paid version of Page builder will be available soon for Magento community version. This can help you creating the content without a lot of knowledge of HTML.

2. Buy a extension advance editor which can help you work the same way as you used to earlier. Not much option available but it worth to look at them and get one which match your expectation. Magento Marketplace is best place to start.

Re: wysiwyg editor help please

I saw that the new PageBuilder won't be coming to Open Source, so I'm not sure what will get added to the WYSIWYG editor and when. (See Tweet, which includes feedback from Ben Marks of Magento: https://twitter.com/benmarks/status/1110912132151951360?s=20 )

I haven't worked with any of the M2 WYSIWYG extensions yet, but this is what I've found in the marketplace:

https://marketplace.magento.com/dragdropr-magento2.html  It's SaaS, and appears to cost about $19 a month or $178.80 per year.

I also found https://marketplace.magento.com/snmportal-shoppingworld.html

There are also extensions available that aren't in the marketplace, but I always try to recommend marketplace extensions first, since they undergo code review by Magento.

Re: wysiwyg editor help please

Thank you both for your replies. I'll have a look at your solutions and if I have any further questions I'll be sure to come back.

Thank you again for your time, it's much appreciated. Thank you.

Re: wysiwyg editor help please

Hi there,

Try Magezon Page Builder, it won't let you down.

The key feature of it is the intuitive drag and drop interface.

You can preview the result right away. Plus, no coding skill required.
