Magento 2 Slow Server Issues

Magento 2 Slow Server Issues

During our recent move over to magento 2, we've been struggling with our website's speed. After rigorous tests we've nailed it down to being a server side issue. We are currently with GoDaddy, however their customer service seem to point the finger at 1 thing - image optimisation. This isn't the case which can be proved by following these links:

https://www.starrtattoo.com/pub/media/catalog/product/cache/73499f5c4db6a289e5c8a2cc7dd7c8c9/9/8/988...

As you can tell they load very quick, which is great. However, the rest of the site is terrible, which you can trial here:

The server we have with GoDaddy is an 8GB Dedicated server which is way above the suggested size. We've also had GoDaddy run a paid optimisation check on the site and it simply did nothing.

Could anyone suggest a server expert that could look at this for us, or have any other suggestions as to what we should do. Thanks.

Re: Magento 2 Slow Server Issues

Hello @luke_watton

first of check mode of magento, you can find using below command

php bin/magento d:m:show

if is not production mode then set production mode using

php bin/magento d:m:set production

if mode production already there then check all cache enabled

php bin/magento c:status

if cache status disabled then enable it

php bin/mahento c:enable

if all thing above good then check some of the module may be written cachable= false that's why to happen

Let me know if still have issue

Re: Magento 2 Slow Server Issues

Honestly I will say that GoDaddy is not a hosting provider you want to go with when you run a Magento 2 store.

I highly suggest that you go with a Magento focused provider instead as you will not just have better performance but their support team will be more familiar with Magento and as such can assist you better when you face any issues.

Re: Magento 2 Slow Server Issues

Do you know that some mobiles phones have 12GB of RAM? So if you want to make money from your store just give 80$ per month and do your job decently. If you can't afford it my honest suggestion is that you better move to something like Shopify.
