How to edit submenu

Hi,

right now I am trying to edit a submenu in M2, such as add a link to the submenu or add something else. So the menu that popups after hovering over the main categories.

I can't find the .phtml/template file for it.

Can someone help?

Hi @steelvintage 

I understand the problem you are facing.

The sub-menu which you are talking about it is mainly a sub-category which is placed under the main category from the Magento admin panel.

Customizing is the menu is a very common task and previously asked by other users as well.

Hi,

thanks for your answer, but I was rather trying to find the location of the template file to edit the submenu. I know the topmenu.phtml is not what i am looking for.

Any idea?

Hi @steelvintage,

You need to follow below listed steps with Magento default theme:

1. Login with admin 
2. Content(sidebar menu) >

3. Menus >

4. Edit Menus >

5. Manage you sub menu (add/remove)

and if you are using any custom theme and pulgin like- You are using VENUSTHEME then you need to fallow below listed steps: 

1. Login with admin 
2. VENUSTHEME(sidebar menu) >

3. Manage Menus >

4. Edit Menus >
5. Menu editor > 

6. Manage you sub menu (add/remove)
