Magento Luma - Change Primary Button Color

Hello,

I am trying to change the default primary button color generated from Magento Luma (#1979c3), I have created a child theme and tried using our CSS file to change it.
.action.primary {
background: black;
}

This is not working, any suggestions?
We are running Magento 2.4.6p3 Open Source

After modifying the LESS file and adding CSS, it's important to remember to run the Magento deploy command to ensure that the changes are deployed successfully.

php bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy
