Problem with Child theme overpower by parent theme

Hi,

 

I am running magento 2.2.5. I have a child theme. I am running into a problem that the theme keeps changing to the parent theme. I am not sure why this keeps happening. Can anyone point out where should I look to first to start troubleshooting.

Go to admin > Content > Design - Configuration from the left nav, then click on 'Edit' action for default store view. Now make sure you have selected your desired theme on the 'Applied Theme' dropdown. By default it's selected 'Magento Luma'.

I am able to apply the theme but strangely after a day or so at around 11am the parent theme takes over. I am not sure what is causing this.
