Theme broken after upgrade

Hi,

I just upgraded to the latest version (2.2.1) but it broke my theme and I'm kinda lost now.

So is there a kind soul who can help me with pointing out what i need to fix to get it working again?

Could you show your  xml file with contain word like, 

NewGredi footer

or show your default.xml of Magento theme module from your theme.

I looked in the default.xml and there i removed the spaces and now it works! Kudos! Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.
