Changing the app/code/<vendor name>/<module name> name after development

Group,

   I am planning to create a extension but with out a vendor name or vendor name decided in the future.  My doubt is If a extension has been developed and release based on a vendor name can it be changed? Example, the module will be 

app/code/<vendor>/<module name>/

After completing the module and released which has around 100 or more class with dependency of various classes , now the extension needs to have a different vendor name folder. Other than editors's "files search all" and "replace" any other possibilities?

You need to do using editor search and replace, Other way is go to files  manually and edit the code other way is not available for you.
