Display "Only X left" for Configurable Products

Hi,

I am trying to display "Only X left" message for configurable products. I have enabled the setting in STORES >  CONFIGURATION > CATALOG > INVENTORY > STOCK OPTIONS > ONLY X LEFT THRESHOLD

in fact, in simple products it shows as it should, but in configurable products, it does not show.

Does anyone have a solution for this?

Thanks for your reply. To tell you the truth before I posted here I have found that article, but could not figure out in what files I need to set the code.

So if you have any idea what files I need to change with this code I really appreciate it.
