Plugin/code for selling software?

I'm using Magento Community Edition.

Are there any plugins or code that would help selling digital downloads? After the payment I would need to execute bash script (Linux) that would create a custom install file for download, register the user to a database and send the download URL to the payer via email.

The out-of-the-box Downloadble products aren't useful for you?
