Problem limit max length(8) for table directory_country_region_name

I have use local "zh_Hans_CN" length = 10 for language chinese. When I insert data in table  directory_country_region_name => Mysql raise error max length limit 8 character.

I think this is a shortcoming of magento when limiting the column locale character.

Any ideas?

You can go to the database and change the number of characters in the field
