Hello,
I am a beginner, and I want to open the Seller Center from the Admin Panel. Can anyone guide me on how to do it?
Hi there, Welcome to Magento! Magento doesn’t include a built-in Seller Center by default, so this functionality typically comes from third-party extensions or custom development.
1. Check for installed extensions. If you’re using a marketplace extension (like Webkul Marketplace, CedCommerce, or others), these usually add a Seller Center or similar functionality. Look in your Admin Panel for a new section or menu item related to the marketplace extension. It might be under Stores, Customers, or even as a top-level menu item like Marketplace.
2. Role and access configuration. Ensure you’ve configured the correct roles and permissions. Admin users should typically have full access to manage the Seller Center. If this is an issue, check under System -> Permissions -> User Roles to verify access settings.
3. Direct URL. Some extensions or custom setups may require accessing the Seller Center via a specific URL, even if you’re logged into the Admin Panel. For example, a common pattern might look like: yourdomain.com/seller or yourdomain.com/marketplace. If your extension’s documentation includes this information, it should help.
4. If you haven’t installed a marketplace extension but want to create a seller center, you’ll need to add an extension designed for this. Webkul’s Multi-Vendor Marketplace is a popular choice, but there are other options depending on your specific requirements and budget. If you’re already using an extension, I’d recommend checking its official documentation or contacting the extension’s support team. They usually provide detailed guides for beginners to help you get started with configuration and navigation.
Hope it helps
Hello @hafizawani8a0d,
For Seller Center use you have to purchase A separate multi-vendor extension's Seller Dashboard (like Webkul, CedCommerce, or PurpleTree Marketplace.
Most multi-vendor marketplace extensions provide a separate Seller Login URL (e.g., Webkul provides /marketplace/seller/login). You can add a menu item in the Magento Admin Panel to open the Seller Center.
setup the extension according to guide or take support service to set it up correctly according to your requirements.
If the issue is resolved, click Kudos and accept it as a solution.
Platforms like Magento don’t include a Seller Center by default, so you’ll need to install a marketplace extension such as Webkul, CedCommerce, or Purpletree to enable multi-vendor functionality. Once installed, these extensions typically add a new section to your Admin Panel look for menu items like "Marketplace" or "Manage Sellers." From there, you can approve seller accounts, configure settings like enabling a separate seller dashboard, and manage seller-related details.
In some cases, accessing the Seller Center might require visiting a direct URL such as yourdomain.com/seller or yourdomain.com/marketplace, especially if the extension has a dedicated frontend portal. Be sure to refer to the documentation provided by your extension for the exact URL and setup instructions. Also, make sure your admin role has the right permissions to view and manage seller features check under the system permissions settings in your platform’s backend. If you haven’t installed a marketplace extension yet but want to set up a Seller Center, consider choosing a trusted multi-vendor plugin and following its installation and configuration steps.
