Url Rewrite from Classic ASP

My website is being changed from classic ASP to Magento 2 platform

Web co are telling me they can't re-direct existing pages to new pages as Magento doesnt like ? in my current asp urls.

My current website is classic ASP that produces dynamic urls by the database

They will cut off the url from where the ? starts and point this to new relevant pages and they think google should re-list the site itself

@andrew_jonesThis should not be that difficult. It depends how many URLs you have as well as how exactly you need the redirections. However those redirection would be needed as all those URL must be listed in search engines. Without proper redirection search engine can penalize your site. Relisting new URL and recovering all the loss will take good amount of time.

There are 2 ways to achieve the same. Either you can use Magento redirection from Magento admin or put 301 redirection in place in your .htaccess file. Both requires manual effort and mapping between you ASP and Magento URLs.
