Vantiv Payment Gateway integration with Magento 2

Hi,

We are trying to integrate Vantiv payment and Magento 2 without eProtect.

We need to pass a full payment information to OMX and eProtect only returns auth code, so we need to integrate Vativ without eProtect. 

The issue is, Vantiv's technical support claims using eProtect is required by Magento 2 and they are refusing to enable our account.

Does anyone know if it is really guided by Magento 2?

If so, please let me know where it is described.

Let me re-phrase your question. If Vantiv payment provider says that Magento 2 requires PCI compliant way of integration for all payment gateway the answer is no, there is no such requirement.

However, there might be a different expectation where Vantiv would like you to do something, sign an agreement with them in order to enable/disable a certain feature.
