breadcrumb wrong *ONLY* chrome

Hi,

we have this customer on magento 2.1.7, who is complaining because on product detail page breadcrumb is missing category path: home > product instead of home > category > category_child > product.

Weird thing is with firefox this doesn't happen, only with chrome.

Any hint?

Are you using Luma or a custom theme?

Maybe you can share an url?

thanks for your answer. Yes I'm using a custom theme, it's called Eren. By the way I've just realized this is not chrome related, but server-related: on my staging environment

it's working just fine, while on my production environment

if you browse for example creme > creme spalmabili > dolcecrema latte

you will see the wrong breadcrumb.

thanks for having a look. In the meanwhile I realized in production was not set the flag "Use category path for urls", while it was in staging.
