I've been a Magento developer for about a decade, and have been back into Magento 2 for a couple years now. Learning M2 has always been really hard, and everyone I talked to wanted an easier way to learn it.
Just spent the last few months creating a screencast course on how to pick up all of the M2 core concepts very quickly. I wasn't sure if this was the place to post it, but have had numerous requests for something like this and think it's very needed in the ecosystem. Worth checking out!
