I guess those errors are because the backward incompatible changes from 2.2: http://devdocs.magento.com/guides/v2.2/release-notes/backward-incompatible-changes.html

Getting same error

I have print value and found its not valid serialize value. I have added condition to replace [ with { and replace ] with } in serialize string. Now its working.
