Apache2 ubuntu default page problem

I have successfully installed magneto2 on EC2 AWS instance.

I also registered domain with Route53.

Problem I got is until www.domain.com/magento2/setup was ok. changed domain to www.domain.com without the /magento2 and enabled https for magento in advanced mode.

To note all seemed to work well when using Elastic IP instead of domain.

Trying to access the front store am getting " Apache2 ubuntu default page".

I have been looking for a solution but cant find a solution.

Sounds like an apache config problem.

Did you copy files from /magento2 to /?... or, did you change the doc root for domain.com to point to /magento2?

Do you have a rewritebase in .htaccess?
