CE 2.4.4: Force birthdate for checkout

Hello,

by law I am forced to insist on the customers birthdate for some articles (OTC-drugs).
Is there a way that I can force the customer to enter their birthdate if there is an article with a specific Attribute (OTC-drug)?

Please follow the steps below:

  • Log in to the Magento Backend.
  • Go to Stores -> Configuration
  • Go to Customers -> Customer Configuration
  • Scroll down and check "Name and Address Options"
  • Make "Show Date of Birth" as No to Required
  • Click on "Save Config"
  • Please Flush the Cache
