Categories appears in second line
Hi Support Team,
I am experiencing an issue with the categories on my Magento 2.4.6 website. In the desktop view, the categories are appearing on a second line and are not clickable. However, everything works as expected on mobile.
Since I don’t have programming expertise, could you please guide me on any settings or adjustments I can make through the dashboard to resolve this?
Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Re: Categories appears in second line
You are using Smartwave's Porto theme. All of the settings related to that menu are located in Stores > Configuration > SW Extensions > Mega Menu
By default it shouldn't look like that so you probably have some custom code breaking it. If that is the case you can't fix it yourself, you need a developer.

Re: Categories appears in second line
Hello @kmuali2604f488,
It sounds like this could be related to your theme's CSS or the configuration of the category menu.
Go to Content > Design > Configuration.
Select the theme you’re using for the Desktop view.
Check if there are any specific layout or header settings for category display. Some themes allow you to adjust category display, such as column width or menu style, which may fix alignment issues.
Since you're using the Smartwave Porto theme, you can adjust your category menu settings directly in the Mega Menu settings. Here’s how to check and adjust those:
- Go to Stores > Configuration > SW Extensions > Mega Menu in your Magento admin panel.
- Check the Layout Settings:
- Look for options like Menu Width or Category Display. Ensure that the menu layout isn’t set to a narrow width, which could force categories onto a second line.
- Adjust Columns and Responsiveness:
- The Porto theme’s Mega Menu settings may include options for number of columns or responsive settings for the menu. Try increasing the number of columns or adjusting the menu width to see if it brings the categories back into a single line on the desktop.
- Save and Clear Cache:
- After making adjustments, save the settings and go to System > Cache Management to Flush Magento Cache.

Re: Categories appears in second line
It is like there might be a CSS or layout issue. Check if the category menu is getting pushed to the second line due to the container width. You could try adjusting the "Max Width" or "Display" settings for the category block in the Magento dashboard. If that doesn't work, clearing the cache or adjusting the theme might help as well Read More.

Re: Categories appears in second line
It is like a theme or CSS issue. You might want to check the menu settings in the admin panel or try a different theme to see if it fixes the layout coffee pods for Keurig. Clearing the cache and re-indexing could also help.
