Credit Card Payment Error “An error occured on the server. Please try to place the order again."
I have both Braintree and Authorize.net merchant accounts. Neither one can I get to work properly to checkout. I can verify that when using Authorize.net direct post that my cart is making a connection to their server and authorizing the card successfully. However, I get this error and the customer is not taken from the payment screen. An order # is generated, but it's a pending type order and the customer does not receive a successful order email, etc.
The same thing happens when I try and use my Braintree credit card checkout. Card verification is successful but no order # is created, customer receives same error message and is left on the payment page.
