Custom options save wrong price values after editing #6342

Hello. We are having a huge issue with a known bug in Magento 2. It's been over a month since it was acknowledged as a glitch:

Is there a work-around or fix for this bug? We are currently on version 2.1. I would appreciate any help.

I don't have a workaround for you but I can check on the status of the ticket. Will let you know what I can find.

Okay, a few things:

1. This is fixed for 2.2 (not released yet).
2. We are working on a back port for the fix to the 2.1.x branch, but this isn't ready yet.
3. You might be able to apply the changes made to resolve the issue in 2.2 by looking at the Github commits mentioned in the issue: https://github.com/magento/magento2/issues/6342

Hello. I appreciate the follow-up.

This is a bad bug for us, as we sell expensive items with the optional modifiers over $999. We know it is a coma issue that causes the bug. I was reading that 2.2 is slated for 2017? This is a long time away for us. Is there a patch which could be applied or a code change we could over-write the existing broken code?

We really need a solution sooner, than later. Every time we go to edit our products we stand the chance of having the price be wrong by 3 digits. $2,000 becomes $2. Not good.

This is a serious problem for me too   My customer also has Custom options exceeding 999 euro's and all are saved as 1 euro or  2 euros. Not good and the shop was supposed to go live this month.... 

I can change the custom options once and press save&close and as long as I don't edit again it is fine. Thank you, Sherrie for the link explaining the bug. I hope it is fixed soon
