In our store samvilla.com we are having issues with duplicated pages autogenerated by the URL Rewrites Tool.
We want to have only one URL for each Product or category, for example: https://www.samvilla.com/shop/shears/streamline-series
Then, as this product is in more categories than the one above, Magento URL Rewrites Tool starts generating URLs like the following:
https://www.samvilla.com/shop/streamline-series
https://www.samvilla.com/streamline-series
https://www.samvilla.com/shop/shears/wet/streamline-series
These URLs are the ones that we don't want. When we activate the canonical we see that it's not working, as it gives a cannonical for each one of these unwanted URLs.
I know that there is an option to deactivate automatically generated rewrites, but this would delete all the redirects we have in the tool.
That said, I want to know if there is another way, or which is the best way to solve this problem? This is really hurting our SEO.
