I'm running Magento 2.3.0.
I installed Google Analytics using the backend item called google API. For almost a month now Analytics gradually detects more and more regular visits and adds a non-existing directory to which builds like this:
/mydomain.de
The only real change we did before the day these strange additional directory showed up was introducing magepal for the GTM. I turned it off, but the tracking remains the same.
I checked our shop with external devices and it turns out that the "fake directory" is not showing in the url. Also the Search Console ist not detecting any URLs using this scheme.
Does anyone have experience with this issue?
