This issue has plagued us for some time. The Start Date and End Date of a promotion or banner seems to never be right. I may have narrowed it down this time as our banner's end date and promotion's end date was the same HOWEVER, the Banner scheduling ended at the beginning of the date and did not include the full day and yet the Promotion Rule carried on THROUGH the end date.
What does Midnight (12am) mean? Beginning of the day or end of the day?
In other words the END date is the Beginning of the day in some cases and the End of the day in others. I was always confused. Is Midnight the beginning of the day or end of it. Apparently the developers are confused as well.
The Suggested FIX - How about changing the label from "END" to "THROUGH". So the Start date should be the morning of the date all through that day and the End date should be "Through" that date including that day in it's entirety. You'll need to fix the banners to work the same. Then how about a little help popup indicating that on hover.
