Magento 2.3.0 Admin lgoin HTTP error 500

hi,

i have just upgrade magento to 2.3.0, and now when ever i attempt to login i get a HTTP error 500. And in the error logs i get

PHP Fatal error:  Uncaught TypeError: explode() expects parameter 2 to be string, integer given in /home/menoscou/public_html/vendor/magento/framework/Encryption/Encryptor.php:274

every time i attempt to login.The admin login page loads fine, a part from being HTTP and not HTTPS. i don't know if that's related.  could anyone help. is this a known bug. the permissions i have tried clearing the cache, clearing cookies and setting the permissions of the /public_html/var and the /public_html/pub folders to be 777 and nothing has worked

Try by providing permission to generated/ folder.
